The 3.97mm is the newest 4K lens designed for the GoPro Hero, DJI Phantom 4/3, DJI Inspire X3 and Yuneec Typhoon H CGO3+ camera lines. With its 82 degree HFOV 16MP sharp 8 glass non-fisheye optics this lens captures the entire image sensor.
Watch the simple installation video provided below
After removing the stock lens the 3.97mm threads in easily. No need to change to a different lens mount and all GoPro, DJI and Yuneec accessories that mount around the lens surround are supported. No gap is present between the lens and the black GoPro lens surround as the 3.97mm lens spans the entire cavity. On the DJI cameras a small gap will be created as the lens is not as large in diameter as the stock lens, so we recommend using the original glass lens protector to keep debris out. On the Yuneec CGO3+ camera the stock lens is the same diameter so no gap or modifications to the lens surround is required with the 3.97mm lens installed. No fisheye/barrel distortion means objects are naturally straight and just as your eyes see the world. With the same f-stop as the stock lens on the GoPro, DJI and Yuneec cameras the capture software will never know the lens has been changed. Light levels will be handled as normal and depth of field will be very similar. With it being over 40 degrees narrower than the stock GoPro lens, 8 degrees narrower than the DJI Inspire X3 and Phantom 4/3 cameras and 16 degrees narrower than the Yuneec H CGO3+ camera, this lens brings your subjects closer without being too zoomed in to introduce unwanted image jitter. Available in a large selection of filters the 3.97mm can capture everything from beautiful RGB color to NDVI plant health images. If you've thought of changing the lens on your camera but were never happy with the way the lenses on the market handled lens flare, you'll be glad to know that was a major concern of ours during development. We went through many iterations to reduce any "bad", concentrated flare spots and left only minimal cinematic flare. For the best quality media we recommend the 3.97mm lens (photo of it installed shown below). The glue holding the original lens into the lens mount is very strong, so please make sure you have a good grip on the lens and mount before attempting to remove.

Filter Type | Description |
Visible Light RGB Filter [Recommended] | This is the filter that every camera has to capture Visible Light that our eyes see. All infrared (IR) light is blocked so the colors are normal. This is the same filter the stock camera has. |
NDVI Filter (Red + NIR) Filter | Our NDVI filter captures reflected Near Infrared Light and Red Light that is mostly absorbed by plants. By post-processing the captured images you can apply a color gradient that shows the contrast between regions of healthy and non-healthy vegetation. The Infrared light will show up in the camera's blue channel and the Red light will show up in the red channel, making it very easy to separate and process for NDVI. |
Infrared Light (850nm) Filter | This lens only sees a narrow band of Infrared Light around 850nm and is typically used with a Red Light filter camera to produce NDVI, ENDVI or similar agricultural health survey maps. |
Red Light Filter | This lens only sees a narrow band of Red Light around 650nm and is typically used with an Infrared Light filter camera to produce NDVI, ENDVI or similar agricultural health survey maps. |
Green Light Filter | This lens only sees a narrow band of Green Light around 548nm and is typically used with an Infrared and Red Light filter camera to produce ENDVI or similar agricultural health survey maps. |
Blue Light Filter | This lens only sees a narrow band of Blue Light around 450nm and is used for various applications. |
No Filter | This lens has NO filter on it, allowing all wavelengths of light through to the sensor including Visible and Infrared light. This lens will produce an overly pink image and the colors will be washed out and dull. |
